The ARRT post-primary MRI program is designed for technologists who are already ARRT certified in another modality (such as Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy). You must hold an active ARRT certification to be eligible.
The program is self-paced but structured to be completed within 6 months. You have access for up to 9 months, and graduation must occur within that timeframe.
The coursework and simulator training are 100% online. Clinical training is completed in-person at a clinical site near you under the guidance of a mentor.
The program costs $6,000. Sites who pay for their employees and students who pay upfront receive a $500 discount, bringing the cost to $5,500.
The program includes online coursework covering all MRI topics, access to our simulator where you complete 250 scans across 20 body parts, clinical site support, and all CE credits upon completion of the Registry Prep mock exam.
Our simulator allows you to practice scanning protocols on 20 different body parts. You'll complete 250 scans, which helps you arrive at your clinical site more prepared and confident.
Upon successful completion of all requirements, you'll receive a graduation certificate and be eligible to sit for the ARRT MRI Registry Exam. You'll also receive all CE credits.
ARRT cohorts currently start each quarter. Due to high demand, waitlists often exist, so we recommend applying early to secure your spot.
